Wayne has extensive knowledge on all things Identity and Access Management (IAM), operations and the development and delivery of solutions and software products.  He has over 20 years of experience in IT, professional services and the software industry.

Let’s get to know more about Wayne, including his recommendations for implementing a successful IAM program in your organization and some fun facts!


When did you join Identropy?


April Fool’s Day, 2015.

 


What is your day-to-day role?


I lead Identropy’s Project Management Office, the ForgeRock Practice and work with our Controller and others on financial planning. I also work with closely with the Leadership Team on operational improvements.


What skills do you need for your role?


Business management skills, primarily.  That includes financial skills, leadership skills, ability to organize, plan, execute and hold others & myself accountable, strategic & tactical goal planning, negotiating skills.  The ability to GSD!


What’s the most rewarding part of your job?


I really enjoy partnering with other Identropians to reach goals – and celebrating successes with them!


And the most challenging?


Chasing people for timecards.  It’s gotten much better over the past year.


What is your proudest moment / memory at Identropy?


When one of our customers, a large multinational diversified hospitality company, went live with 26 million users!


What is your top tip for those looking to implement an IAM program?


Approach IAM like other enterprise implementations (i.e., Enterprise resource planning (ERP), Customer relationship management (CRM), etc.).  They are programs, not projects. They can be thick, lumpy and hard to stir.  The technology is the easy part.  The challenge is the people side.


What superhero do you most identify with and why?


Batman.  He has cool toys.


Favorite thing to do when you are not at work?


I enjoy hanging out at our place in New Hampshire and riding motorcycles, snowmobiles and four wheelers.  I like cool toys.

Hidden talent? Or something people would be surprised to know about you?


If you haven’t guessed it, I’m a power sports nut.  I like anything with 2-wheels, 4-wheels or a track.  I really enjoy off-road riding and playing in the dirt!
