Sr. IAM Engineer – NetIQ (Novell) Identity Management Suite

Job Summary

The senior identity and access management (IAM) engineer will be responsible for gathering and documenting functional requirements, designing technical architectures and processes, and implementing IAM product components. Key Sr. IAM engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Design, develop, and implement connectors and technical components for authentication, authorization, identity provisioning, physical security, and audit & monitoring solutions.
  • Designing and developing integration connectors and interfaces for cross IAM solutions.
  • Enhancing and integrating existing access request and provisioning technologies to a variety of IAM solutions.
  • Integrate role-based access control, Single Sign On, user provisioning, and reconciliation services with existing applications, systems, and network devices.
  • Critique developed business processes and use cases, translating them to technical requirements, and designing provisioning/de-provisioning workflows, data mappings.
  • Implementing RBAC framework based on top down / bottom up models.
  • Leading meetings with highly demanding clients
  • Working with NetIQ (Novell) IDM product suite

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a 4 year degree in computer science or one of the natural sciences
  • Have 5+ years experience in integrating security and IAM products with common identity stores (LDAP, relational databases, application servers, virtual directory servers, and physical access management systems.
  • At least 3 years previous consulting experience
  • Have experience working with relational databases (SQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
  • Be motivated to learn and seek guidance
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have 5+ years experience with NetIQ (Novell) IDM products or other complex IDM products as well as Novell IDM 4
  • Have working knowledge of LDAP and directory structures

Candidates meeting some of these criteria, but with a significant interest and aptitude to learn these skills will also be considered.
